Experiencing the Impossible: Faith, Hope, and Love in Action (1 Corinthians 13:13
It is time to move beyond merely hearing God’s call and step into the realm of experiencing the impossible in His name. Jesus commissioned us to heal the sick, raise the dead, and more, proclaiming that "nothing shall be impossible to us."
How do we tap into this power? The answer lies in the dynamic interplay of faith, hope, and love—the three essential aspects of God's grace that help us grow into His likeness.
Faith is the vital link to God's power. It enables the work of God to be done effectively. The Bible is clear: “Without faith we cannot please God” (Hebrews 11:6). It’s what moves us in power, determining the extent to which we walk in it.
Hope is the "joyful anticipation of good." It's the place where faith grows, allowing us to encounter Jesus's perfect goodness and His promises. Hope keeps our eyes fixed on the potential of a life fully realized in Him.
Finally, Love is the catalyst that changes everything. Without love, we only see helplessness. Love gives us the character to employ faith, as it looks for solutions from a Father who loves perfectly. Without love, we only see law and miss God's desire to grace us into victory.
This journey also requires a profound shift in perspective—one of humility. Humility isn't about thinking less of yourself; it's about thinking of yourself less, seeing yourself as God sees you. This mindset cultivatesdependence, which is "surrender made manifest" in a faith-filled and humble relationship with the Master.
Embrace the commission. Live in faith, hope, and love. Surrender in humility. It is time to take God at His word and experience the impossible for His glory.
